Props Over Here Presents: Erick Sermon

And you thought Q-Tip's catalogue was impressive. Erick Sermon was 1/2 of EPMD and their legendary status can be attributed to his innovative production. And while Q-Tip is mostly defined as a member of a group, EPMD was simply the first stage in "E-Double's" career. After establishing himself with EPMD and his debut "No Pressure," Sermon spent the mid-90's making other careers, namely Redman, Keith Murray, Jamal, and K-Solo. In 2001, he released "Music" which recieved a Grammy nomination and is still making bangers to this day. This mix is a tribute to 20 years of Hip-Hop relevance:

1. You Gots To Chill- EPMD
2. Bomdigi- Erick Sermon
3. Winicumuhround- Redman
4. Keep It Real- Jamal
5. Call My Name- Keith Murray
6. Iz He 4 Real?- Redman
7. So What Cha Sayin'- EPMD
8. Tonights Da Nite- Redman

12. Time 4 Sum Aksion- Redman
13. The Most Beautifullest Thing In This World- Keith Murray
14. Please Listen To My Demo- EPMD

Q-Tip is one of the most accomplished artists in the history of Hip-Hop. "The Abstract" anchored A Tribe Called Quest, one of the greatest groups ever, with his distinctive delivery and, as advertised, abstract lyricism. Also a skilled producer, Q-Tip handled much of the production for Tribe and was behind standout tracks on Nas' Illmatic and Mobb Deep's The Infamous, two of the greatest albums ever. Here are 12 tracks that highlight his amazing career:

5 Elementz: The Album Time Forgot

I've been lazy lately posting singles and videos and stuff but I think I made up for it with this, because, chances are, you dont have it. 5 Elementz is made up of the late Proof (from D12), Thyme, and Mudd. The highlight of this album is the production, including 8 tracks from another dead artist, J Dilla.

Young Jeezy (Feat. The Game & Lil' Wayne): Fingaz In My Azz

I thought this was pretty funny, especially The Game's verse, which probably because I can appreciate how well this makes fun of his raps since he's the only of the three i listen to. Anyway, enjoy.

Royce Da 5'9": Hit 'Em (prod. DJ Premier)

Royce Da 5'9" is a punchline MC from Detroit who began his career as one of Eminem's weed-carriers. Since then, he has put out some average albums, the highlights of career being his work with DJ Premier on the tracks "Boom", "Hip-Hop", and "Ding". Here is a track which may or may not make his next album, which is rumored to be produced mostly by Prem.
