Large Professor: The LP

This is some "long lost classic" shit from Large Pro. For some reason this album was shelved and found its way to the internets years later. It took a while for me to find this so I figured I'd make it easier on everyone else who enjoys that classic, mid '90s Hip Hop.

Deron Washington-G/F-Virginia Tech

This 6'7" junior is one of the premier athletes in college ball and these plays are just ridiculous.

One Be Lo: S.O.N.O.G.R.A.M.

Download

In my opinion, the best album of 2005. One Be Lo's lyrics and delivery are as good as any MC to burst on the scene after 2000, and while the production on this album is mediocre, he makes up for it with mic skills. Look out for "L.I.F.E.", One Be Lo's 3rd LP to drop in '07.

And if you want to hear what Lo would sound like with top-notch production, here's: Decepticons (Pete Rock Remix)

DJ Muggs Presents: Soul Assassins Chapter II

Download

The second installment in this dope series of compilations. Maybe not as good as the first, but probably harder to find, and still some classic Muggs production. Enjoy.

The Fab 5 Meet The...Fab 5?

I was kickin some serious knowledge the other day about the Boot Camp Clik and the topic of the Fab 5 came up. For those who don't know, the Fab 5 was a potential sub-group of the BCC (like there aren't enough already), comprised of Ruck & Rock (Heltah Skeltah) and the Orignoo Gunn Clappaz (Starang Wondah, Louieville Sluggah, & Top Dog). This got me thinking, who from this "Fab 5" matches up with which member of those infamously ghetto Michigan teams. Since you're dying to know the answers, here they are.

Chris Webber=Ruck a.k.a. Sean Price

Why? Chris was the best talent on that team and acheived the most success at the next level. Sean P. was the best rapper out of the Fab 5 and is the only one to establish a solo career.

Juwan Howard=Rock

Why? Howard and Rock were both beasts in the day and Rock looks like a tall dude himself.

Jalen Rose=Starang Wondah

Why? Probably the most versatile members of their respective crews, neither have done sheeit in the last 8 years or so.

Louieville Sluggah=Jimmy King

Why? They were the fourth best member of their "Fives", but thats basically where the comparisons end. King had a brief NBA career and now works on Wall Street (or at least Wikipedia says so) while Louieville is still a BCC weed carrier.

Top Dog=Ray Jackson

Why? Both fell off hard after the Fab 5. Ray played in the CBA for a lil and Top Dog is probably lobbying for a guest spot on of of those "Where Are They Now" remixes.

And for suffering through that stupid shit heres the only relevent song the Fab 5 ever recorded (the idea of the group went to shit after some lousy tracks or something): Laflaur Leflah Eshkoshka

Welcome to mah site

Welcome to Props Over Here where I'll talk about basketball, hip-hop, and other things I wish I could do. Ill also share music and stuff for free. High five!
